Lahti Crisis Centre offers short term crisis counseling and guidance in crisis situations for anyone living in Finland including immigrants, asylum seekers, victims of human trafficking and undocumented immigrants.
No referral is needed to book an appointment. Common reasons for a client to seek help from the Crisis Centre:
- Difficult situation in life
- Difficulties adapting to a new culture
- Marital relationship problems and family problems
- Suicidal thoughts
- Sudden losses
- Accidents, violence
Clients can have 1-5 meetings for crisis counseling. The aim of the counseling is to find solutions and resources to get over the difficult situation. Meetings can take place one-to-one, together as a couple or as a family. Meetings can be arranged face-to-face at our location, via video call or by phone. Counseling is free of charge and it’s possible to make the contact anonymously.
We offer crisis counseling in Finnish, English and Swedish. Clients can also communicate through an interpreter. Unfortunately we can not provide interpreting services.
